About Me

«Lines Spots Color Harmony and Imagination are my starting point»

Mariana Mello was born in Lisbon Portugal on September 15, 1969, lives in Lisbon.
In 1992 she completed Artistic Studies in Art and Restoration at FRESS (Fundação Ricardo
Espírito Santo e Silva) and attended Drawing studies.
She has been painting since then. She did Mural Restoration and Conservation of Monuments,
Churches, Public Works and Private Works in Lisbon, Alentejo, New York, California.
Recently, she felt the need to express herself through easel painting and started painting on
wood and this has been an important contribution to her professional fulfilment.
She often reuses waste materials, including wood pieces to promote environmental
sustainability.
She is a creative person who bets more on her abstract phase, not letting go of other type of
more figurative work, such as animals and figures (contrasts).
She uses acrylics.
Her works are already in private collections in Miami, New York,Madrid, and Lisbon.
